Last night we had to take Tristan to Peds after hours. They couldn't get him in until 9:30pm. Then we had to wait over an hour for the doctor to see us. The poor little guy was so tired and didn't feel well at all. Turns out he has an ear infection and something similar to conjuctivitus that is highly contagious. I'm hoping he'll be able to sleep better now that he's on antibiotics. He hasn't slept in 3 nights and has had trouble napping too. Thankfully too, the trip didn't cost $300 like the last time we had to take them to after hours...just our normal copay...praise God! Tristan is growing so fast....I can't believe he is almost a year old. He is standing on his own and trying really hard to walk. He can take several steps while holding on with one hand. He recently learned to say "uh oh!" which he thinks is hilarious. He loves to play peek-a-boo too. I added a video of him spinning, another one of his favortite things to do.
Reagan is doing great. We are working on potty training again. Hopefully this time she'll be potty trained for good...no going back. She has been so sweet and pleasant lately. She is always singing worship music and dancing. She's just so full of joy. I can't believe how fast she is growing...she'll be 3 in 2 months!
This weekend, Kris is finishing our fence. YAY! I am so excited that we will finally have a private back yard. And we just found out last night that our neighbors (who no longer live there) had to forclose. The bank already owns it and has changed the locks. I guess that means we can fence over their gate that enters into our yard. I know that sounds kind of mean, but for the past 5 years we have had neighbors come and go through our yard as they please....to move furniture, to park their cars, to stash or throw their trash, to relieve their dog, or just to make their walk a little shorter. It has been sooo annoying...especially since we have a huge sliding glass door in the back that completely eliminates any type of privacy. Plus it will be nice to have more space for the kids to play, especially now that spring and summer are near. Kris and his boss cut down some of the larger trees in the back to make it a little more sunny and to make space for a swingset. Hopefully we'll be able to find a decent one at a good price.
Okay, so I know this blog is already really long, but I have to share this. This morning I was getting ready to do a load of laundry, but I had to empty the dryer and washer first. When I opened the washer it was FULL of pink fluffy stuff. Apparently, one of my blankets has completely dissenigrated (spelling?). It was the biggest mess ever. I had to pull every piece of laundry out individually and shake off the pink particles and then scoop out all of the blanket remains. I read the tag that was still hanging onto the skeleton of the blanket and it said, machine wash cold and dry immediately....too bad it didn't have a number...to call the manufacturer and tell them I did what they said and this is what happened. I will post a picture when I get a chance.
Well, I just realized that I have been rambling on, so I think I will end my blog for today.
