The Loves of My Life

Last week, we had Tristan's 11 month pictures taken at JC Penney. We took Reagan every month for her first year and decided to do the same with Tristan. It ends up costing only $3.99 per sheet, so as long as I limit myself, it's very affordable. Just as we did with Reagan at 11 months, we had T's pics done in his jammies with his pacis. I couldn't help but notice the similarities:

I love my babies!

Yesterday, Kris finally finished our fence and the gates! There always seems to be something else he needs to fix or tweak. He's quite the perfectionist when it comes to home improvements. Everything has to be level and line up perfectly. Have I ever mentioned though, how awesome it is to have a handyman for a husband? Kris is amazing!! He has put so much work into our house. For any of you that saw this place when we first moved in, you can attest that we have come a very long way. He has completely renovated our downstairs bathroom and kitchen, pulled up tile and carpet to install wood floors, screened in our back porch, added crown molding, painted, tiled, built flower boxes in the front, taken down monster sized trees, built and unbuilt a storage shed/workshop with electricity, installed flooring in our attic, the list goes on and on...these are just to name a few. And most of the work he has done over the last 5 years has been completely on his own (with the help of a few friends who know who they are) and with materials that he has collected from construction sites. He just amazes me. And yet he still manages to come home every day after working a full day and sit on the floor to play with the kids, get them fed, and bathed, and ready for bed.

Every Sunday while I am at work, he takes care of the kids by himself and cleans. Yesterday I came home to find Tristan and Reagan dancing in the living room while Kris played his guitar. He and Rea were singing worship songs. It was beautiful! After nap, Kris made a bonfire in the backyard. Shannon and Connor came over and we had burgers and roasted marshmallows with the kids and made s'mores. It was just such a nice day. And I just wanted to share with you how much I love my husband and my 2 beautiful babies!!
