So, as some of you know I have been having a lot of contractions, on and off, for the last several weeks. Well, I had them again yesterday, but nothing different or out of the ordinary. I was also super tired for whatever reason, even though I had slept well the night before. Nini came to take me and the kids to lunch and I could barely keep my eyes open. I needed to go to Target so we stopped by there for 15-20 minutes after lunch and that was the extent of my morning. When we got home, I put the kids down for a nap, but my contractions were pretty intense. (Not necessarily labor pain, but my back was hurting really bad and some were more crampy than usual)
I tried to nap, but the kids woke up from their nap and I kept having contractions. I went to meet a friend for dinner around 6...just burgers from Five Guys. Reagan was with me, and I was still having contractions, but I wanted to go to Ross and TJMaxx to see if I could find a baby book. I was really hurting by the time we finished at TJMaxx even though we weren't there long. My mom had called and I had to get off the phone with her because I couldn't talk. The drive home was a challenge b/c I felt like I couldn't breathe. I got home just after 8 and sat down and put my feet up and sipped some water to see if it would help, but my back was killing me and the contractions were pretty consistent. After Kris put Reagan down, he drew a bath for me and I soaked for a little while, which helped alleviate the pain, but it didn't calm the contractions. So I rested on the couch again and finally decided to call the triage. Kris had homework that was due at midnight that I wanted him to be able to finish, so my friend Samantha came and got me and took me to the hospital. My contractions continued and some were worse than others, but I had only dilated 1/2 cm. Nothing exciting, but enough that I won't be going to Maryland unless he comes early enough for us to go. They gave me a terbutaline shot to stop the contractions and then gave me to Ambien to help me sleep and I was sent home just before midnight.
This morning, I feel like I've been through some "inception" dream experience, I have horrible heartburn and the contractions are back. I was feeling really nauseous and I threw up (sorry TMI). All I want to do is crawl in bed and sleep. If only kids were sympathetic to the idea.

Praying for you! I definitely know what it's like to be scared like that, especially when you think the baby is coming way early. I had Aidyn 6 weeks early and there was no stoppin him coming!
