Camden's Baby Shower

Before I write anything about the shower, I have to say a huge thanks and I love you to my friend, Leah, for hosting such a lovely shower. She worked so hard and it was perfect! I also have to say thank you to Cheri, my mother in law, for allowing us to have the shower at her house, for cleaning, and hosting us. And another huge thanks to my mom and Kristen and Samantha for totally spoiling me by getting me the most delicious and wonderful cake. It was sooo special!! Another huge thanks to my husband and in-laws for keeping an eye on all the kiddos. I have the best friends and I'm so thankful for the love Camden & I received!

Leah got her inspiration from a blog by the TomKat Studio that did a vintage surf themed baby shower. When I first saw the blog, I totally fell in love with the idea and I think Leah fell in love with it even more! :o)
Because Kris and I have such a large family, we decided it would be easier to have a separate shower for them after the baby arrives. Leah served yummy punch, hummus on french bread, fresh strawberries with dip, cheese & crackers, and twizzlers! Everything coordinated with the theme and the colors, red, blue, white, and brown. She even made banners to hang and matching games. We played a word scramble game and had to guess different baby foods...yum! My cake was made by Kathy at KB Kake Kreations (also who made our wedding cake). It was white with strawberry filling - delicious!

Your pictures turned out great! I'm so glad the balloons matched because I ordered them over the phone without going into the store to look at them first and was just praying they were the right shades! haha. Love you!

Kid Talk

Adelyn - "peent bunna bunna" (peanut butter), "Yiyah, Bubba, & Pom" (Reagan, Tristan, & Cam), "Yeah, sore." (3/10/18 - 27 months old)

Camden - "A monda tuck (monster truck), I didn't do it!" Me: Do you want to go to Nana's? Cam: "No! Belle gonna eat me!" Me: "Belle's gonna eat you?!" Cam: "Belle gonna eat me! And Belle gonna eat you! And Belle gonna eat T. And Belle gonna eat Yiyah." (4/26/13 - 26 months old)

Tristan - "His name isn't One. His name is My Daddy. And his nickname is Kris." (4/24/13 - 5 yrs)

Camden - "Boo one (blue one), Moi (more), jew choo (train), Unga (paci), Uncu (cup), Yiyah (sister), T (Tristan), Da-yii (Daddy), Pic uh T (pick-up T), Ah-ver (Oliver), cai (car), Whadat (What's that?)" (25 months old)

Tristan - "Mommy, I'm a tired little tornado. I'm going to go to sleep." (6/18/12 - 4 yrs)

Tristan - "Boys have a wee wee. Girls have panties." (3/1/12)

Tristan - "When I was a cat like Oliver, I used to stick my head under the tree and drink the water. Haha." (11/30/11)

Tristan - I asked him if he wanted to go look at the preschool he might be going to. "Is there gonna be not kids there?" Me: "Yes! You'll get to make some friends." T, shaking his head with a disgusted look, "No, I don't like kids." (10/3/11)

Tristan - "When I wake up we can paint some basketballs outside and Punzel can be a scary crow so we can make a tent." (8/22/11)

Tristan - He wanted us to put his frozen waffle in the toaster so he asked, "Can you hot this?" (7/15/11)

Reagan - Kris was trying to carry laundry and stuff up the stairs when Reagan jumped on his legs and wanted him to carry her too. He told her he couldn't carry all that stuff and her. So she said, "But Daddy, Jesus says you can do all things through Christ." (5/21/11)

Tristan - "I want some parnom cheese for my speskettis." (5/18/11)

Reagan - A conversation with Peyton while riding in the car in a downpour: R-"It's a good thing Jesus is watching over us." P-"No, Jesus isn't watching over us." R-"Yes He is. You need to learn more about Jesus." P-"Yeah, I need to learn more about Jesus." R-"You need to learn more about Jesus at school." P-"What school do you go to Reagan?" R-"Ballet." (5/14/11)

Reagan - Talking about the car Kris borrowed from Grammie: "You need a new car Daddy because Grammie's car is old and dirty and it got in a car crash and it's all jacked up." (5/14/11)

Reagan - After finding 2 Barbies in Rea's room with missing heads, I told her to stop pulling the heads off of her dolls. She said, "They just pop off!" Me: "The heads do not just pop off and they're a pain in the butt to put back on." Rea: "Well, when I make them look at the sky, their heads just pop off!" (5/13/11)

Tristan - Tristan asks me for some cereal. When I ask him what kind he says, "milf cereal." He meant Life cereal. (5/5/11)

Reagan - I told Reagan to do something and Tristan said, "no sister. Don't do it." I corrected T and said, "Don't tell Reagan to disobey Mommy." And Reagan chimed in, "Yeah T. Don't be like Satan!" - lol (5/2/11)

Tristan - "Ahh! There's a roach in my room. I don't like batteries. Roaches eat batteries or do roaches eat other bugs mommy? or poppy seeds, (pause) or something." (4/20/11)

Tristan - Talking about Camden, "Look at this baby Mommy! He came out of your belly and he growed up. How'd that? He's a guitar baby. He looks like Uncle David. He's a cute baby. He's a good baby. His belly smells good." (4/4/11)

Reagan - "Tristan always smells likes feet. I smell like a princess." (3/9/11)

Tristan - "Ratatouille is a French dude." Me:"No, it's a french food." T:"No he's a French dude. He's a soup guy!" (3/6/11)

Tristan - Seeing Camden nurse for the first time: "Mommy, he's eatin' you! Get him!" (2/21/11)

Tristan - "Mommy, why are you so beautiful?" (2/16/11)

Tristan - "I'm gonna drive Grandpa's car (a porsche) and go golfing in Grandpa's car with Grandpa." (2/4/11)

Tristan - "Mommy, your eyes are so beautiful." (2/14/11)

Reagan - Kris says to Reagan, "you know what I want more than anything for Valentine's Day, Rea? For you to be my Valentine. Will you be my Valentine?" Reagan's response: "I...will think about it." (2/13/11)

Reagan - She was getting ready for bed and came running into the living room. We could hear the water and food in her belly and thought it was funny, esp. since she had just used the bathroom. When we asked her about it she said, "That's the peepee that I'm saving for tomorrow."

Tristan - Referring to his toes, "These are my feet guys." (1/31/11)

Tristan - While stroking my hair, "Mommy, you a crazy boy." (1/12/11)

Reagan - She was making up words and said, "Cinderella went up to her ballet class and defecated." LOL! (12-14-10)

Reagan - While pretending with her brother and having a conversation with T & Marlin (Nemo's dad). "Oh, I'm so glad you're being nice to me today. Marlin wasn't very nice to me yesterday. I told his son 1 Thesalonians 5:16." (11-11-10)

Tristan - We were driving down International Dr. and T kept pointing to things saying, "Look at dat!" Then he saw a hotel and said, "Hey! It's a taka my jammies off!" (10/9/10)

Tristan - Me: "Tristan, are you poopy?" T: "No, I not." Me: "Yes you are and it stinks." T: "It's like chocolate." Not quite. (10/7/10)

Reagan - After a long conversation about how she needs to learn to wipe her own bottom, she says to me, "(My friend) wipes her own poop, but I'm not a wipe your own poop kind of girl." (10-5-10)

Reagan - "Daddy's going to the driver racer." (to hit golf balls. She meant to say driving range. (9-20-10)

Reagan - (to Tristan) "Get out of the country mate! It's dangerous in there!" (9/16/10)

Reagan - "Daddy was being a pain in the butt last night." (6/25/10)

Tristan - T was sitting in Kris's lap and Kris started blowing air on the back of T's head. He was being really grumpy and said, "Daddy, no blowin'!" Kris-"Why are you so grumpy T?" Tristan-"Cuz, Daddy's a blowin'!" (6/24/10)

Reagan - "Mom, don't play with my hair. It's not a toy!" (5/31/10)

Tristan - Bananas used to be "bullas" and now they are "Bullanas" (4/26/10)

Tristan - "No! Don't want to!"
Reagan - While playing pretend with her stuffed animals, "Guys, we don't have much time! I looked at my watch and it says that we don't have much time!" (2/8/10)

Reagan - "My eye is nurxt." (2/5/10)

Tristan (22 months) - While running out of the room, "Speed! I speed!" (2/2/10)
