I never got to decorate a room for Tristan when he was born. We got Reagan's room painted and decorated with custom curtains, but by the time we finished her room, we changed our mind about them sharing a room. So for his whole life, Tristan has lived in a pink room with all of Reagan's baby things still hanging on the walls. Now that we are having another boy, and since we won't be able to move until we sell our condo, I'm sooo ready to make a super cute boy's room. I've decided that I definitely want to do a surf themed room. We purchased blue paint before Tristan was born that we never used, so we plan to hang bead board around the bottom of the room and paint the top half a light blue. Here is one of the pictures I am using for inspiration.
I love the idea of using mainly blue with accents of other, brighter colors. I really wanted to do white furniture too (esp. because we plan to have one more child - an adopted girl, unless God has other plans of course). But since I got such a steal on furniture that already matches what we have, I figured we will make due and can paint everything white when the time comes. My mom is planning to make the bedding because I am having a hard time finding surf stuff for a crib and a twin bed. This bedding is by far my favorite. Then, I will get to use my crafty side, and paint pictures and surfboards for decor and to display the boys' names. I am sooo excited!
