One,
On this very day, eight whole years ago, I made the
boldest and most paramount proclamation of my life; that I would love,
honor, and cherish you, my One, for all the days of my life. It was and
is the greatest day of my life, celebrating the joining of the two of
us into Ones. However, the happiness I felt on that day pales in
comparison to the joy and satisfaction I feel now when I look
at all that we’ve been through and all that we’ve created together.
Just looking at Rea, T, and Cam is a constant reminder of how much God
has given us and how truly blessed I am.
I have often
thought about, as many people do (I think), “what would I do if the Flux
Capacitor came to fruition, and I could go back in time with all of the
knowledge that I have now. What things would I do differently?” Well,
I can honestly say that if I could trace all of my footsteps back to
the day that I met you, I would grab your hand, turn around, and do my
best to walk in those very same footsteps over again so that I could
experience this life with you all over again.
You have given
me so much, and I love you far more than I have ever been able to
express. Though with God’s help, I know that in the years to come I
will become far better at doing so. You are an amazing woman whom I do
not deserve, but I am so very grateful that you took a chance on a guy
like me. And even though the last eight years have seemingly flown by
in an instant, just remember that the vast majority of our story has yet
to be written, and I suspect it will be a classic! Happy anniversary,
and thank you for marrying me!
Love,
Your One

ReplyDeleteIn all seriousness though that letter is beautiful. I'm glad you two have found each other and wish you many more wonderful years together!
