Thirty-One

Well, it's official.  I am 31!  I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but I've accepted it.  :o)  I had a really nice birthday this year.  Reagan came in my room while I was still in bed to wish me a happy birthday.  My kids gave me cards.  I got a FREE venti iced mocha from Starbucks.  Then, I took the kids to their swim lesson.  We met up with my friend, Caroline, and her little girl, Sadie, for FREE lunch at Chick-Fil-A.  The kids took a decent nap and I got some down time.  Then my MIL and SIL came over to watch the kids so Kris could take me to dinner at Yamato, which was also FREE.  My friends Leah, Jen, and Lindy came along.  The food was delicious as always.  And we topped it off with the most amazing Snickers cheesecake, made by Jen just for my birthday.  Here's a few pics of the evening (Leah's flash was blinding!!)

In other news, on the eve of my 31st birthday, I got my invitation to become a Thirty-One consultant.  This is something that I have thought about doing for a couple of years now, but the timing just wasn't right.  Kris and I prayed a lot about it before Camden was born.  We both thought I should do it and that we had God's favor, but still the timing wasn't right.  I had a thought on my birthday, not an actual prayer, maybe more a prompting, that if I got enough birthday money I would sign up.  Well, I actually did, so after some more prayer and consideration, I've decided to join.  I will get my official letter next Wednesday and will be able to order my kit.  My hope is that I'll be able to use my business to meet people when we move, and that I'll be able to share my testimony and minister to others.  I'm excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and seeing what God has planned.

So, if you would like to help get my business started by hosting a show or even a catalog party, please let me know.  I'd love to share all of the new Fall line with you!!

  1. Happy Birthday!! I am praying for you and your new business in 31! Working for a faith based home show company has been SO GOOD to me because God is SO GOOD! I know he is going to bless you as you make the move to Orlando and I know other's lives will be touched by your faith as you trust in Him. :)
