3 Week Breastfeeding Update

I met with the lactation consultant today.  She got me a prescription of that thrush medication just in case. They think the pain may be internal and that's why it's not getting better. They determined that the bleeding was "rusty pipe" and may never go away, but assured me that's it's okay if he throws up blood occasionally. I nursed him on my left side and have just been pumping the right side since I'm still in so much pain. If I don't have improvement in the next few days, then I will make a decision. I am definitely not pumping this time like I did with Tristan. That's exhausting. But I am willing to give it a few more days if they think the meds will make things better. If the pain doesn't stop then I will just go to bottles because I can't be a good mom to my older 2 while my world is revolving around my boobs. But I hung in there for 3 weeks, what's a couple more days? Oh, and his tongue, suck, and latch are still good. :o) I will keep you posted. Thanks again for the support.
