Spring Has Sprung...is "sprung" really a word?

My little man turned 2 on April 2nd.

I can't believe I don't have any more tiny babies.  They grow up sooo fast.  And lately, especially, it seems like time is moving in warp speed.  I just can't keep up.  What seems like just a few days somehow ends up being a few weeks and before you know it you're in next month.  Hence, why I am so far behind in my blogging.

To celebrate the Big Two, we went to Toys R Us to get a crown and balloon.  Tristan picked out a little Buzz Lightyear toy that talks.  Then we met up with some friends at the mall to eat Chick-Fil-A and play on the playground.  Tristan was kind of grumpy, but as soon as we got to play area and he saw his friends (or at least familiar faces) he was fine.  Later on, we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Kris's family and funfetti cupcakes with chocolate icing.  Although some cupcakes from Abigail's Bake Shop would have been better, I'm sure!

Easter was busy as usual.  Our church had 5 services, but thankfully I only had to serve at 3 of them.  I was out the door by 6am, to Starbucks & Panera by 6:15 to pick up coffee & breakfast for staff & volunteers, and to the church campus by 6:30am.  The first service started at 7:30am, and even though I knew we would probably not have many kids, I had a lot to do.  As predicted, the morning flew by and before I knew it, it was time to head over to the Graves' Family Farm to celebrate Easter as we do every year.  It's the one time a year when the whole family gets together, mine and his, and all of our close friends come to celebrate.  It's become a great family tradition.  It was a great day!

Now, we're on spring break (from Reagan's school that is).  And I am very much looking forward to not having to do much.  I'm working on getting the laundry done and the house cleaned.  I fly to Maryland on Thursday to pick up my mom and then we drive back down to Florida first thing Friday morning.  Mom will be staying with us for 2-3 weeks!  I love when she comes to stay with us.  And I love that the kids are going to get to spend time with her, since they only see her a couple of times a year.

I'm also excited to be coming out of this fog or funk or whatever you want to call it.  Our home has been battling victoriously with sickness for the last few weeks.  I've been struggling to get into the secret place the way that I would like to.

But, I am confident that God is doing a new thing in our home, in our marriage, in my kids, in my life as a wife and mother and friend, and I am sooo looking forward to what is to come!

Did I mention to that I LOVE my babies!!
