Catch up!

So, it's been a while since my last post.  It's been a little crazy around the Graves house.  We were out of town 2 weekends ago to visit with my cousin Trish from California.  She came to Florida to run Disney's Princess 1/2 Marathon.  We took advantage of the opportunity to spend a weekend with family and our friends Kristen & Matt in Orlando.  It was nice to get away, but it wasn't the most relaxing weekend.  We were constantly on the go and returned home only to play catch up and then Kris got the flu.  He started feeling ill Thursday afternoon, and other than a few hours at work on Friday and a trip to the Dr. on Saturday, he was in bed the entire time right through Sunday afternoon.  And we all know that men do not handle sickness very well.  They turn into the saddest, most pathetic things.  Needless to say, I was pooped come Monday morning.  All I have wanted to do is sleep, but there's always sooo much to do.

We had our interview with Cornerstone Academy on Thursday.  It went well.  Hopefully we'll hear something in the next 2 weeks or so and then we'll be able to apply for some sort of financial aid.  The kids are doing great!  Praise God that in the midst of Kris's sickness, we all managed to stay healthy.  I started to feel a little something coming on yesterday evening and immediately pleaded the blood of Jesus over myself.  Pretty much instantly, the yucky feeling went away.  Yeah, there's definitely power in the blood!  My mom sent us a big box of goodies on Saturday.  Reagan got a homemade Minnie Mouse costume.  I got books.  Tristan got a truck.  And we all got some sweet treats.  One of my books is called "The Blood and the Glory" by Billye Brim.  The chapters are short and I have been sneaking one in between snacks, bathroom trips, dirty diapers, and nap times.  It's a great book that I think is going to help get me out of the funk I've been in for the last few weeks.

Tristan is sleeping in a big boy bed now.  My dad and Suzanne brought it to us on Saturday and even bought us some rails to go on it.  They got it from their neighbor who was just going to throw it out.  He's doing really well so far. Once we can get him to actually get in it, he stays put.  The challenge is getting him in it.  He would rather jump and run around the room, climbing on it or his sister.  We've learned that he either has to be really sleepy or we have to put him to bed by himself with the lights off and the door closed.  If Reagan is in there when we put him to bed, he thinks it's a party.
