Shhhhhhhh...

Some days I really wish my kids had a volume button.  At some point in the last year, Reagan has forgotten how to whisper.  She is constantly screaming, whining, and in general, loud.  And not all of it is because she's upset.  She is just loud.  And Tristan is loud too.  Joyfully loud, but loud none the less.  On days like today, I find myself saying things to them like, "Could you please just sit quietly without talking for 5 minutes?" "Let's see who can be quiet the longest," "Shhhhhhhhh," "seriously guys!  Please stop talking."  I realize that's not the nicest thing to say to your kid.  But sometimes all I want is a little peace and quiet....and then, a nice long nap.
